Following changes to the New Zealand Holidays Act, McDonald’s New Zealand faced the complex challenge of identifying and compensating current and former employees who were owed back pay due to historic miscalculations in holiday pay. With up to 60,000 individuals affected — spanning head office-owned and franchise restaurants — the business needed a robust, automated solution that could securely manage the process at scale.
Experieco partnered with McDonald’s, leveraging the OutSystems platform, to design and deliver a secure, easy-to-use remediation portal integrated with payroll, identity verification, and compliance processes.
