Connexa

Connexa, New Zealand’s largest manager of mobile tower assets, spun out from Spark NZ and faced the challenge of standing up entirely new business systems to manage operations, leases, and maintenance. With multiple new applications being implemented simultaneously, including Site Tracker (Salesforce add-on), Sage Intacct for finance, a lease management tool (OPM), and SharePoint, Connexa needed these systems to work together seamlessly.

Partnering early with Experieco, Connexa engaged us to design and deliver the integration and automation layer that would connect these core platforms, ensuring accurate, timely data exchange and operational efficiency.

Context

Connexa’s core challenge was building a fully integrated operational environment from scratch while systems were still being configured and processes defined. This meant:

Key pain points

  • “Moving target” - systems and processes evolving during implementation

  • No pre-existing integrations between core systems

  • Need to consolidate documents into a single SharePoint repository without losing context in other systems

  • Managing complex asset hierarchies (sites with multiple tenants/projects)

  • Multiple stakeholder groups with differing priorities and technical understanding

The Experieco solution

Experieco, leveraging the Workato iPaaS platform, designed and delivered multiple tailored integrations and automations. Throughout, Experieco maintained a flexible, iterative delivery model, adapting to Connexa’s evolving processes and staff changes while ensuring quality and reliability.

  1. Document Management Integration
Automatic transfer of documents uploaded in Site Tracker to SharePoint, applying consistent naming conventions and folder structures, and leaving a reference link in Site Tracker.

  2. Finance System Integration
Moved and adapted existing Sage Intacct automation recipes (originally built by partner Akuna) into Connexa’s own environment for full operational control.

  3. Lease & Site Access Synchronisation
Integrated OPM lease data (including critical site access instructions) into Site Tracker for use by field staff and contractors.

  4. Complex Data Mapping
Structured workflows to handle multiple projects per site, ensuring correct billing, reporting, and asset tracking.

Long-Term Impact

Single Source of Truth: All operational documents stored centrally in SharePoint while remaining accessible from originating systems.

Process Efficiency: Automated data flows reduced manual data entry and duplication across finance, lease management, and field service.

Operational Agility: Flexible architecture allows new integrations and workflows to be added as Connexa’s operations mature.

This integration-first approach applies to any organisation consolidating multiple business systems, especially in asset-heavy industries such as utilities, transport, and infrastructure where real-time, accurate data flow is critical to operational efficiency.
